The London Arts Center Honored with Local and State Recognition for Volunteer Service
We are proud to share that the London Visual Arts Guild (LVAG) has been recognized for our outstanding volunteer efforts—both locally and statewide.
In March 2025, LVAG was honored with the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Madison County Chamber of Commerce. This award acknowledges the dedication of our volunteers who pour their time, talent, and energy into making the Arts Center a vibrant and welcoming space for creativity and connection.
More recently, we received a state-level certificate of recognition, signed by State Representative Brian Stewart and Speaker of the House Matt Huffman (House District 78). This honor from the State of Ohio further affirms the value of our work in enriching lives through the arts and community engagement.
These accolades are a testament to what we can accomplish together. To all of our volunteers, board members, artists, and supporters: thank you. Your commitment makes this work not only possible, but deeply meaningful.
We invite the community to join us in continuing to build a thriving arts culture here in Madison County.

Membership Dues
A reminder to please remit your membership dues if you have not done so yet. We have a great many events and activities being planned. It’s a great time to renew or get a friend to join. We welcome everyone.

Zart Art Classes for Youth
June and July: Summer Break – No Classes
Fee is $10 each session – Includes all supplies, just pay when you arrive. Signup deadline is 3 days before class begins
Projects often overlap so it is important to attend all classes. Parking & entrance is located, in the back for the class.

You do not have to stay with your child during class, but certainly may if you like.
We have other areas you may enjoy while in the building including the gallery and gift shop.

Writers and Illustrators Meeting:
EXERCISE YOUR WRITES
We talk Writing and Poetry and Illustration. We share our works in a round table discussion. We also offer monthly prompts to be used to stir our imaginations. Create a Story of approximately 1000 words. Write in any style (poetry, prose) and any genre (Drama, Thriller, Sci-Fi, Comedy, etc.) or create an illustration using the prompts as inspiration. Join us and share your work.
We’re excited to let you know that we’ll be moving our meeting time starting in March to the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. We hope this change makes it easier for more members and guests to join us! It’s a wonderful opportunity to come together, unleash our creativity, and share our love for art in a supportive atmosphere. Looking forward to seeing all of you there!
This month’s Writing and Illustration Prompts: Concrete & Photographs
Meeting: 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Coffee and Conversation:
This get together will take place on the 4th Wednesday of the month starting from 1:30 till 3:30. The idea is to break up the week for older adults to talk Art, Quilting, and associated passions. Join us for a fun filled afternoon of fun filled talks, without the worry of driving at night.

Youth Classes
We offer youth education classes.
Zart: Classes designed to increase the youth’s knowledge and enjoyment of art.
Home School Classes: Providing art education to supplement the home school student
Open Studio
The LVAG London Arts Center hosts Open Studio every Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm Members, and the public are welcome. Bring your current project or start a new project,. It’s a great time to work and mingle with other artists.
Memberships
We rely on membership support to offer classes and workshops at reasonable costs. For $2.08 a month, less than the cost of a gas station coffee, you can join in all the fun and help us bring wonderment and joy to our community through art and friendship.
Memberships make a great gift for birthdays, Christmas, or whatever festive occasion.
The membership basic fee is $25.00 or $50.00 for a family:
