T h e A r t o f t h e S K E T C H B O O K WORKSHOP

Judy Dillon Smith

March 2 & March 16 – 1-4 PM – LONDON ARTS CENTER

Join me as we unlock the joys and rewards of working in a sketchbook. Learning to draw the simple and mundane helps to train our vision and hone our skills. We will start with simple objects depicted with various materials and explore ways to combine text and journal entries into our compositions to create interesting pages and spreads. We will use pencil, pen & in and watercolor to complete most of our work. The creative practice of sketchbooking keeps us curious and inspires us to keep going in our art

journeys. There is spontaneity and freedom in the ‘sketch’. We may not create a ‘masterpiece’, but will be exercising and having fun in the process! We will also assign challenges between classes. Students to provide water media sketchbook, pencils/erasers, drawing pens and watercolors/brushes. Class time will be in Studio or En Plein Air(weather permitting). Each Session is $35 per person.
