February promises to be an exhilarating start to the new year, packed with engaging activities and creative opportunities. We are thrilled to announce that we will reopen our doors this Saturday, February 1st, kicking off the month with an inspiring workshop focused on photography, designed to ignite your passion for capturing the perfect shot.
On February 4th, we will resume our beloved youth art classes, known as “Zart,” which have always been a favorite among our younger artists. These classes are a wonderful way for kids to explore their creativity and express themselves through various artistic mediums.
Mark your calendars for February 6th, as our gallery will reopen featuring an exciting showcase of artwork from some of the incredible teachers who will be leading classes this year. This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to experience the talent and creativity that will be shared throughout the upcoming workshops.
On February 9th, we will bring back the ever-popular alcohol ink class, where participants can unleash their creativity while experimenting with vibrant colors and unique techniques. Finally, on February 15th, we invite you to join us for a delightful and creative pet collage class, where you’ll get the chance to create a heartfelt piece that celebrates your furry friends.
Get ready for a exciting and creative start to the new year! We can’t wait to embark on this artistic journey with you in February!

George Peyton will lead a demonstration on camera terms and their practical use. The session will start with a discussion of photography studio techniques and will include a question-and-answer section. We will also take photos of a model and a prop in the studio.
The skills you learn are applicapble in all styles of shooting. Join us for some fun as we talk about cameras!
Cost is free to members.

Painting with Alcohol Ink
Sun. Feb. 9 from 1 till 3 pm.

Expect to complete 1 to 2 pieces of unique Art to take home.
Most supplies are furnished but bring your own 5 x 7 frame.

EXPLORING COLLAGE WORKSHOP
February 15, 2025 – 10-1 pm
PET COLLAGE
Join Judy Dillon Smith as she guides you through the process of creating a collage of your pet or favorite animal. We will start with sorting through recycled, painted and textured papers and materials. Using your pet image as a guide we will select a ‘palette’ of pattems and values to overlay your photo. Please come with an 8×10 image of your pet. In our session we will transfer to mat board, overlay with paper and embellish with pens and watercolor as needed.
Caution: This can be addicting!!

Projects often overlap so it is important to attend all classes. Parking & entrance is located, in the back for the class.

Writers and Illustrators Meeting:
EXERCISE YOUR WRITES
We talk Writing and Poetry and Illustration. We share our works in a round table discussion. We also offer monthly prompts to be used to stir our imaginations. Create a Story of approximately 1000 words. Write in any style (poetry, prose) and any genre (Drama, Thriller, Sci-Fi, Comedy, etc.) or create an illustration using the prompts as inspiration. Join us and share your work.
Meeting: 2nd Friday of the month at 4:00pm
Coffee and Conversation:
This get together will take place on the 4th Wednesday of the month starting from 1:30 till 3:30. The idea is to break up the week for older adults to talk Art, Quilting, and associated passions. Join us for a fun filled afternoon of fun filled talks, without the worry of driving at night.

Sonic Sketches:
The LVAG Sonic Sketches meet on the fourth Thursday of the month from 6 – 8 pm at the LVAG Arts Center
We get together and play musical instruments, any skill level welcome. Dust off those instruments and come jam or hang out.

We offer youth education classes.
Zart: Classes designed to increase the youth’s knowledge and enjoyment of art.
Home School Classes: Providing art education to supplement the home school student
Open Studio
The LVAG London Arts Center hosts Open Studio every Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm Members, and the public are welcome. Bring your current project or start a new project,. It’s a great time to work and mingle with other artists.
Memberships
We rely on membership support to offer classes and workshops at reasonable costs. For $2.08 a month, less than the cost of a gas station coffee, you can join in all the fun and help us bring wonderment and joy to our community through art and friendship.
Memberships make a great gift for birthdays, Christmas, or whatever festive occasion.
