*This class is designed for sewing machines with visible screws for opening. If you have a specialty machine, use professional services.

Making your own pattern or use one of mine.

Bring your own: Sewing Machine, Fabric Scissors, Pins, and Bobbins

If you want to buy your own fabric, you will need 2 “fat quarters”, the pre-cut folded squares at Walmart and craft stores or 1⁄2 yard.

9 years and up. A responsible adult must stay anywhere onsite; no drop-off.

Class is limited to 10 students on a first-come basis. Additional classes will be scheduled if necessary.

“Fiber, Threads and Cloth”

Accepting entries of handcrafted items constructed from fiber, thread, and cloth

through knitting, crocheting, weaving, macramé, and quilting.

Youth and Adult Class Participation

This show is open to members who have participated in one or more of the classes or workshops given at the LVAG. Works do not have to have been completed during the classes but should reflect knowledge gained from taking the class. We want to see what you learned and how that knowledge improved your art.

The fee is $40 for the 4 one hour classes, $10 each session – Includes all supplies.

Projects often overlap, so it is important to attend all four classes.

Regular Club Meetings:

Writers and Illustrators Meeting

This month’s writing and illustration prompts are: 

Birthday and Cardinal

Create a Story of approximately 1000 words. Write in any styie (poetry, prose) and any genre (Thriller, Sci-Fi, Comedy, etc.) or create an illustration using the prompts as inspiration. Join us and share your work.

Sonic Sketches

The LVAG Sonic Sketches meet on the fourth Thursday of the month from 6 – 8 pm at the LVAG Arts Center

This month’s songs to learn before the next meeting:

We’ll also jam in Blues patterns ( i iv v) in various keys and rhythms.

Dust off those instruments and come jam or just hang out.

Youth Classes

We offer youth education classes. 

Zart: Classes designed to increase the youth’s knowledge and enjoyment of art.

Home School Classes: Providing art education to supplement the home school student

Open Studio

The LVAG London Arts Center hosts Open Studio every Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm. Members and the public are welcome. Bring your current project or start a new project—a great time to work and mingle with other artists. 

Membership Dues

A reminder to please remit your membership dues if you have not done so yet. We have a great many events and activities being planned. It’s a great time to renew or get a friend to join. We welcome everyone.
