Relevant Co. Presents Jennifer Reilly

Relevant Co. is pleased to present work by Jennifer Reilly at 24 S. Main St., London, Ohio. Stop in during Strawberry Fest on Saturday, June 27 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM for a Gallery Open House and enjoy an evening of art and community.

Relevant Co. is in a season of change, and while we’re not sure what the next chapter will look like, gallery shows may not be part of the future in the same way. That makes this evening feel especially meaningful. We hope you’ll join us downtown to celebrate the exhibit, support a talented local artist, and enjoy what may be one of our final gallery events.

Photographing Your Artwork: From Phone Snapshots to Professional Reproductions

Learn how to make your artwork look as good in a photograph as it does in person.

You spent hours, days, or even months creating your artwork. Don’t let a quick snapshot be the thing that represents it.

Whether you’re documenting artwork for social media, online sales, exhibition submissions, or high-quality prints, learning how to photograph your work properly can make a tremendous difference.

This hands-on workshop will cover simple and practical techniques for capturing artwork accurately using everything from smartphones to dedicated cameras. Topics include lighting, color accuracy, avoiding distortion and glare, understanding resolution, preparing images for print and web use, and creating a consistent editing workflow.

Designed for artists of all experience levels, this class focuses on real-world methods that produce professional-looking results without requiring expensive equipment.

SCWBI Gallery Show

The London Arts Center is pleased to host the Central and South Ohio chapter of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) for a special summer showcase celebrating the art and stories that ignite young imaginations.

SCBWI is the leading organization for creators of children’s books, bringing together writers, illustrators, translators, librarians, publishers, and other professionals who champion imaginative, inclusive literature. This regional show features work by members of Central and South Ohio SCBWI and will be on display at the London Arts Center,  from July 18 to 26.

Join us for the opening reception on Saturday, July 18 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM for light refreshments and a first look at the exhibition. Visitors and reception attendees will be invited to vote for their favorites in two categories: Illustration and Writing. First, second, and third place winners will receive prizes from SCBWI.

This is a wonderful chance to meet local children’s book creators, see original artwork and stories, and support the next generation of imaginative voices. We hope to see you there!

6×6 Member Gallery Show

We’re excited to bring back our popular 6×6 Member Show this August, running Aug. 1 to 30.

Members, please stop in to receive your one free 6×6 canvas.

You may submit up to five pieces, and your artwork can be in any medium such as painting, drawing, photography, assemblage, sculpture, or something uniquely your own, as long as it fits within the 6×6 format.

This show was a big favorite with members last time, and we can’t wait to see the creativity you bring this year. The opening reception will be announced soon and more information will be shared.
