Hello Members
Thank You to Our “ASSEMBLAGE” Opening Reception Artists and Guests
Thank you to everyone who contributed work to ASSEMBLAGE and to all who joined us for the opening reception. Your creativity, support, and presence helped make the evening a true celebration of community and artistic expression. We were so pleased by the energy in the room and grateful for the wonderful response to the show.
Thank You to the STEAM Event Team
We also had the joy of sharing our love for the Arts with the second graders who attended the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) event. Their curiosity, enthusiasm, and excitement made the experience especially meaningful for us, and their wonder was truly a pleasure to witness.
A special thank you to George Peyton and Jennifer Tritle, who presented the event on behalf of the LAC.
We extend our sincere thanks to COSI for sponsoring the event, as well as to London City Schools, the London City Administration, and Eve Breedlove for making this opportunity possible.
Upcoming Gallery Show
Christina Lockard is a self-taught freelance artist from Circleville, Ohio, whose work reflects both imagination and deeply personal expression. A graduate of Circleville High School, Christina also studied graphic design at Ohio University in Athens.
Her art has long served as a source of strength, helping her overcome life’s challenges while also creating a way to connect with others through shared experience.
Christina’s style is versatile, moving between fantasy and realism with a strong attention to detail at the center of each piece. She works in a variety of media, including acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, pencil, and pointillism.
The London Arts Center is pleased to present her work in the gallery from June 4 through June 28.
Please join us for the Opening Recption, Sunday, June 7th from 2 – 4pm.
New Classes
We are looking forward to offering a variety of children’s arts classes throughout the summer, along with a fun and engaging Kids Art Camp. These programs are an exciting way for young artists to explore their creativity, try new techniques, and enjoy making art together.
We are also preparing a class on how to photograph your artwork for print, website sales, and social media. Better images can help attract more attention, generate interest, and support stronger sales.
In addition, we are working toward offering classes in digital art and drawing, with the needed technology now being put in place to make these opportunities available.
There is plenty more on the way, and this is a wonderful time to connect with the London Arts Center and become more involved. Stay tuned for more information soon.
