The Greater Columbus Arts Council

The Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Street performer’s database is accepting new artists. You can choose venues where you’d like to work. The Arts Council will pay you directly after the event is completed. If you are interested in performing in Columbus, check out this site:

Writers and Illustrators Meeting

The LVAG Writers and Illustrators group meets the second Friday of each month from 4 to 6 pm at the LVAG London Arts Center. 

This months writing and illustration prompts are: Stones and Water

Create a Story of approximately 1000 words. Write in any stlye (poetry, prose) and any genre (Thriller, Sci Fi, Comedy, etc) or create an illustration using the prompts as inspiration. Come join us and share your works.

Creative Story Telling Camp

Tell Your Story–Live Performance 

 May 18th at 6:00 pm

The performance will be the culmination of everything the students learned in the previous classes: May 18th at 6:00 pm
Great way to celebrate mother’s day. 

Creative Recycling Show

8th Annual Community Art Show 

The Current show at the LVAG center is the “Creative Recycling” Show. Be sure to stop in before the show ends and vote on you favorite entries, in both the Adult and Youth categories. The show runs until May 21st. Don’t miss it!

Digital Painting and Photography Show

Artworks by George Peyton

George’s show consists of an array of Photography and Digital art. Mr Peyton creates props and designs sets that the models utilize to better co-exist in his photographs and digital paintings. Come and see the artworks and some of the props he created for the photo sessions.

Reception May 27th 5 – 8pm

Snacks and beverages served. Live music.

Drawing Class with Ken Madden

Ages 17 and up

Starting with graphite and charcoal and evolving to additional mediums. 

$15 per class

Saturdays 10am – 12pm

LVAG will be offering classes in digital art. Your teacher is George Peyton. His artworks will be on display at our May – June show and his bio is listed on the website. Look for more information soon.

We offer youth education classes. 

Zart: Classes designed to increase the youth’s knowledge and enjoyment of art.

Home School Classes: Providing art education to supplement the home school student

Open Studio

The LVAG London Arts Center hosts Open Studio every Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm. Members and the public are welcome. Bring your current project or start a new project. A great time to work and mingle with other artists. 

Regular Hours: Thursday 11 -2 pm, Saturday 10 – 2 pm

Sunday 11 – 2 pm
