LAC Newsletter April 23, 2026

Hello Members

This is the final weekend to visit the gallery and experience the paintings of Ned DeCamp. It has been a vibrant and engaging showcase of colorful expression, and you won’t want to miss this last chance to see it in person.

Looking ahead, join us next weekend for our 2026 Community Exhibition, “ASSEMBLAGE,” opening May 2nd. Centered around the ideas of Recycle, Revamp, and Redo, this creative and inspiring show invites artists to build something new from existing materials, objects, and ideas. It has become a favorite among LAC members and the wider community alike.

All participants are encouraged to drop their work for the show, Saturday from 11-2 and Sunday 11-2.

We invite you to celebrate with us at the opening reception on Saturday, May 2nd from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.

We are finalizing several exciting classes and demonstrations for the months ahead. One upcoming offering will focus on photographing your artwork for print, website sales, and social media. Just as you would not share a photo without first getting ready, your artwork deserves to be presented at its very best. Better photographs can help attract more attention, build interest, and support stronger sales.

Plans to offer classes in digital art and drawing are being prepped, with the technology now being put in place to support these new opportunities.

More classes are in development, and there has never been a better time to connect with and become involved in your London Arts Center. Stay tuned for more information coming soon.

Come for the art, stay for the friendship.

6X6 MEMBER SHOW

We’re excited to announce our much-loved 6×6 Gallery show for members this August! Each member will receive one 6×6 canvas to bring their creative vision to life. Feel free to submit up to five canvases. The rules are simple: your project should not significantly exceed the canvas’s 6×6 surface area, and it can be anything from painting and drawing to photography, assemblage, sculpture, or even something completely unique that fits within these simple guidelines. Last time we hosted this show, it was a huge hit with our members, and we’re really looking forward to seeing what you come up with this time! More information to be announced soon.
