LAC Newsletter March 12, 2026

Hello Members

This is the last weekend to experience the Teachers Gallery Show at the LAC. Don’t miss your chance to see this amazing exhibition celebrating the creativity of our instructors. It’s a wonderful glimpse into the work of the talented artists who teach classes and workshops here throughout the year.

Join Us for a Hearty Corned Beef Dinner at the LAC!

Come hungry and leave happy!

The London Arts Center invites you to our Corned Beef Dinner on Friday, March 20th, from 6 to 8 p.m. Enjoy a traditional meal featuring corned beef, potatoes, cabbage, rye bread, dessert, and a beverage for a suggested donation of $10 per meal.

Every dollar raised goes directly to supporting the programs, classes, and creative fun we offer through the LAC. It’s a great chance to gather with friends, share a meal, and celebrate our wonderful arts community.

RSVP to Liz Lassel at 614 769 3986 to reserve your spot.

Members, we’d love your help with a few homemade desserts, and the guild will provide drinks. You are also welcome to bring your favorite beverage.

Let’s make this evening full of food, fellowship, and a little bit of LAC charm.

Get ready for our next Community Exhibition, “ASSEMBLAGE,” on view May 2 through May 31. This imaginative show invites artists of all ages and experience levels to explore the art of transforming and using one thing to create another. Think Collage art, painted found objects, pottery turned into faces, or even a robot built from recycled materials. Let your creativity guide you wherever inspiration strikes.

Join us for the opening reception on Saturday, May 2, from 2 to 4 PM, and see how our community reimagines the ordinary into something extraordinary.

We have plenty more exciting gallery shows and classes ahead this season.

Come for the art, stay for the friendship.

6X6 MEMBER SHOW

We’re excited to announce our much-loved 6×6 Gallery show for members this August! Each member will receive one 6×6 canvas to bring their creative vision to life. Feel free to submit up to five canvases. The rules are simple: your project should not significantly exceed the canvas’s 6×6 surface area, and it can be anything from painting and drawing to photography, assemblage, sculpture, or even something completely unique that fits within these simple guidelines. Last time we hosted this show, it was a huge hit with our members, and we’re really looking forward to seeing what you come up with this time! More information to be announced soon.
