Our Instructors

Here are some of the talented instructors that have taught at Studio 7 in the past or currently have open classes on our schedule.

 

HARRY CROGHAN, is a graduate of Georgetown College with an art major and psychology minor. Early in his career, he worked as head artist, photographer and account executive for various advertising agencies. Since then he has been successful in running his own art, design and photography company for over 35 years.
MARJORIE FOULK cannot remember a time when she did not have a strong interest in art. Her early efforts were nurtured by her father. She moved on to high school level art, and from there studied with some world renowned artists in different mediums. Marjorie is always observing and trying new things to hone her abilities. She assists with Studio 7 classes and volunteers on Tuesdays for Open Studio where she gives instruction to aspiring artists!
SANDY FOX is a 1966 graduate of the Cincinnati Art Academy with a degree in commercial art and design. Sandy has studied under world renowned artists Julian Stanczak and Charley Harper. She has been freelancing, creating art, and training race horses for the past 40 years. Sandy is on the LVAG board of directors and will be assisting with Studio 7 classes.
FLOYD HOOK can be found teaching beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes at his art studio in Springfield, Ohio. He travels extensively teaching groups that painting is fun, not difficult. As a Master Instructor certified by Alexander Art Inc., he can be seen doing demonstrations at painting conventions throughout the United States.
KARLA KNIEF received her BS in Art Education from Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia. She also took art classes at James Madison University in Virginia and Goshen College in Indiana. She taught art at Mechanicsburg Schools from 1980-2012. Since then, she works on her own paintings and teaches at Studio 7. In 2014 she started “Paint Party Picnics” for adults and children in Ohio, and Florida.
KIM LATTIMER attended Ohio University. From there she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts with a focus in the areas of Painting, Drawing and Photography. Kim has displayed artwork and won awards in galleries and exhibits throughout central Ohio. She currently teaches Drawing 1, 2 and Electronic Imagery at Clark State Community College. Kim also runs her own freelance business, and teaches Adult classes/workshops at Synchronicity of London in London, OH.
ROBERT REA has been engaged in photography for 45 years. He has taken more than a dozen photo workshops in the past decade from many distinguished teachers. Robert has been matting and framing artwork for nearly as long as he has been a photographer.
TONY REEDER is a native of Mansfield, OH who moved to the London area two years ago. He is a self-taught photographer who has been capturing the world around him for nearly 30 years. Tony is the current president of the London Visual Arts Guild.
COLLEEN VAN STEEN has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Ohio University. In her 35 year teaching career she has taught 6 years at the Elementary level, 22 at Middle School & 13 years with H.S. students. She began her career near Chillicothe & finished with the Springfield City Schools. She currently has affiliation with Clark State Community College & their out-reach program, Project Jericho. “I really enjoy painting, but am currently giving my attention to making mosaics & working with classes for Studio 7 in London. People with a passion for the arts should take every advantage to feed their desire.” says Colleen.
